Care SA is an incredible initiative with the overall objective to care for South Africans by providing them with much-needed nourishment through food parcels. Since the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic and the national lockdown, hundreds of thousands of South Africans have found themselves under severe financial pressure. The purpose of Care SA is humbly bridging the gap between ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’, aiming to relieve the short-term challenge of feeding families that are in need of food.
One of the biggest challenges to overcome is the fact that some children are starving because of the fact that they only get one meal from school every day. The vision of this initiative is to be entirely transparent, and it is critical that the project speaks of integrity and reaching out to any South African in need.
How it Works
Any funds received are allocated toward the procurement and manufacturing of food parcels. Every person that receives food from Care SA supplies a cell number and contact details for independent auditing and control purposes. Food parcels are then safely packed at a central warehouse and are then collected and delivered to the addresses of South African citizens in need.
