To reset your password, click on “Forgot Password” on the opening screen of the app. This will prompt you to input the email address you used when registering with the app, once added, you will receive and OTP from FoodGuru, via an email as well as a SMS. Once received, the app will ask you to enter the OTP – This will allow you to reset your password.
Once reset, you will be prompted to login in with your new details.

When you place your next order, you will be redirected to the secure Payfast payment portal. Once on the payment screen, you can choose to add a new credit card or remove a credit card that you’ve used to pay with previously.

Within the menu, you will find a section called “Address book” – This page will display all addresses previously saved and used, you can edit, delete or add addresses here.

  3. All your saved addresses will display here.
  4. Click on the address you’d like to delete or edit.
  5. Before saving, you will be prompted to ‘Label’ the address with either; “Work”, “Home” or “Other”
  6. Click “Done” at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

  3. You will be prompted to choose either “Delivery” or “Collect” before proceeding to the order online section
  4. You will be directed to your selected restaurant/store profile page – Click the “Order Online” button at the bottom of the screen in order to view and choose your desired meal/products for the order.
  5. Once you are done, you can click on the “Checkout” button at the bottom of the page.
  6. The “Checkout” home page will show you your order, as well as your chosen option of fulfillment – Whether, Delivery or collect The “Collect” option will show the address of the Restaurant/Store, and the “Delivery” option will show your address – Please ensure that this is correct before proceeding to payment.
  7. Both the “Collect” and “Delivery” options will allow you to choose between “Order now” or “Schedule later “. The “Schedule later” option will allow you to select a suitable time, for delivery or collection.
  8. Once you are happy, you can click the “Proceed to Pay” button at the bottom of the screen.
  9. The payment page will show your subtotal and total (These will only differ if “Delivery” has been selected, as that option comes with a delivery fee) – This is also where you need to choose between a Cash or Card payment option.
  10. The “Card” option will redirect you to the secure Payfast Payment portal, where you can complete your order.
  11. Once payment is successful, and your order has been accepted by the Restaurant/Store, you will be notified via push notification in your app. You can also view your current and pending orders in the “Orders” section, in the menu bar.

To see if we service your area, and which restaurants/stores are available – simply select your address from your address book, or enter your address into the search bar at the top of the app homepage. This will display all restaurants/stores that are available for service in your area.

Please ensure that the pin is in the correct location. It is important that all relevant information is included for the driver to find you.

If you live in a housing estate or office park without street names, please ensure you add this info into the “Additional notes” section when placing your order.

YES! The restaurant/store will log the order through their merchant app on their end, when taking the order over the phone, so that the order is recorded accordingly.

All restaurants set their own menus and prices on the FoodGuru app.

If a menu item is excluded, this usually means that the item is not suited for delivery or is exclusively reserved for in-house dining.

We do encourage our merchant partners to keep their pricing on the app consistent with their in-house menu, some restaurants require an increase in pricing for delivery fulfilment.

The delivery time is based on 2 external factors; The preparation time the merchant needs PLUS the time the driver will need to collect and deliver the order. The driver time is usually based on the distance between the restaurant and the delivery location.
Your app will notify you when ordering, what the delivery estimate is, based on the above 2 factors.

Delivery costs vary, based on your distance from the merchant. Fees are usually within the range of R10.00-R20.00.

Once your order is placed, accepted, and prepared by the restaurant, the restaurant will request a driver or utilize their own delivery system. The driver will then collect your order from the restaurant, store it in a thermal hot bag and deliver it straight to your doorstep, either by car or on a motorbike.

You can track your order by clicking on the order status bar at the bottom of the app.

You can choose to either pay with your card, or instant EFT. We do not currently support cash payments due to the Corona Virus.

This is entirely up to the merchant, and will vary based on the merchant you order from.

  • Check that the card details you inputted are correct
  • Check that your account has sufficient funds
