What is Live-Cook?
Each month, viewers are transported directly into the wonderful world of food and invited to cook along with a top SA Chef via a live streaming channel. Viewers can opt to pre-order a dinner box directly from the FoodGuru.menu page, which includes all the required ingredients of the chef’s signature dish, and have the dinner box delivered straight to their door. Hosted by well-known celeb Chef, Peter Goffe-Wood, the show is interactive, fun for the whole family, and will have you feeling as if you yourself, are a super chef.
How it Started?
Live-Cook Channel is a first of its kind live-streaming cooking channel that allows you, a viewer at home, to cook and engage with a celebrity chef in real-time, during each episode. It is a commercial venture that satisfies the world’s cravings for fresh foodie content while offering a means of employment to chefs affected by the #COVID19 pandemic.
Pivoted out of lockdown, Live-Cook Channel started as a way to bring people together through the love of cooking and fine dining, while helping to foster unity especially during a time where the restaurant industry has suffered the most. In 2020, the team has managed to plough over R700 000 back into the foodservice industry, supporting chefs, restaurateurs, kitchen staff and food suppliers since their inception.
This innovative channel presents a unique culinary experience where you have the opportunity to order a delectable dinner box for 2 or 4. These boxes include carefully selected locally-sourced ingredients to cook along with each episode’s featured chef – making shopping, waste, and fussing over dinner a thing of the past.
