Your passport to hospitality

Government regulations stipulate that all restaurants need to capture details from customers before they start dining at the location. This is to ensure the safety of workers and customers through a screening questionnaire. This is quite an onerous process for you and the restaurant, especially if you eat out regularly.

Foodguru provides you a free passport that you can store on your phone and present to the restaurant in the form of a QR code (like a boarding pass for an airplane).

Restaurant staff will scan your passport using our Foodguru application and let you enter the location. If for some reason the restaurant doesn’t recognize the passport service, you can show them the passport and they can easily set up a free account with Foodguru in 5 minutes, or they simply take down the details manually from your passport. 

Important to note:

  • If you are tested positively for Covid19 it is important that you update your passport status.
  • Contact information is vital as it provides accurate information in case tracking and tracing needs to happen.
  • Your Covid19 health status is strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone.
  • If anyone that has tested positive for Covid19 has been in close proximity of you within set time parameters, you will be notified by SMS. Staff at the visited establishment will also be notified.

Restaurants can fast track diners by scanning guest temperatures and passports. No more queuing to fill out a forms, making the diner experience more like it was before.

Health & Safety

Should any of your guests update their passports to show a positive Covid status after their visit, you will be notified that an anonymous guest could potentially have infected your staff and guests. Likewise, the guests at your restaurant during that particular dining slot will also be anonymously contacted. FoodGuru aims to make you and your guests safer through technology.
